MELANIE COX

MELANIE COX – MAIOH (COH)®

​Principal Occupational Hygienist

Melanie is a Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH)® which is the highest recognition of the profession in Australia and is an internally recognised badge of competence.

 

Melanie began work in the occupational hygiene field in 1993, has been a full member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (MAIOH) for 22 years and a COH for over 12 years. ​

Melanie is also a registered senior high school educator and experienced workplace trainer. She is highly experienced in the development and delivery of training packages, auditing materials and quality documentation (policies, procedures, work instructions).

Melanie’s experience includes

Melanie has worked extensively within the mineral processing, construction, aviation, Defence, manufacturing, retail and mining and quarrying sectors.

​

Her experience includes a wide range of areas, including health risk assessments leading to qualitative and quantitative analysis, worker exposure assessments and the review, development and implementation of exposure monitoring plans and Occupational Hygiene management systems.​

​

Melanie is a current Noise Officer (DEMIRS) and a Certified RESP-FIT fit tester for both quantitative (CNC) and qualitative (ATT) respirator fit testing methods. She is a board member of the national AIOH RESP-FIT committee and a fit testing and training accreditation assessor.
